The active chapter will run in a 5K on May 7 in Irvine to raise funds for Leukemia. In the past, the chapter has run the L.A. Marathon to raise funds for the UCLA Santa Monica Rape Treatment Center. As alumni, it is important for us to support how they live the Creed in the service of God and man.
The photo is the T-shirt design, and it will be available online for purchase soon. Please consider buying a shirt in support of the actives and their great cause.
Alumnus Zach Sprague is working with the actives and recruiting sororities and other students to participate, and he already has the UCLA Volunteer Center as a partner. This is going to be big! Also, donations are welcome. If you can afford $20 or more, issue a check to “Sigma Pi” with “Trouble’s a Bruin philanthropy” in the memo line (so the house gets “credit” for raising the funds).
Mail to Spencer Van Ruiten, Sage, 612 Landfair Ave., LA 90024. If you feel like funding a bus to transport the students, or to sponsor their registration fees, with a larger donation, that is welcome too! Questions: Zach Sprague, (530) 301-3257.
