Oldest Upsilon alumnus

Dr. Wallace Reed died on Mar. 7, 2014, at age 97 in Phoenix. Dr. Reed started the first free-standing ambulatory surgical centers in Arizona, and retired in 1989 after a 45-year career in anesthesiology. He was a member of the House Ways and Means Advisory Committee from 1975-76, and he erved on the Advisory Council of the National Health Institute. He is preceded in death by his brother John, also an Upsilon brother in the 1930s.
