The UAA feted the graduating Upsilon Class of 2010 at the 5th Senior Dinner on Jun. 1 in Westwood.
Abner Shao organized the event at Acapulco’s.

Steve Kaplan emcee’d the event and advised the graduates to “follow their heart.” The only class that Steve failed in law school was entertainment law, and now he is a successful television/ movie producer and distributor. “As I get old, I try to work less and sit by the pool and smile at how it all turned out. It doesn’t matter what people tell you you can or can’t do.”
Keith Plantier explained how the fraternity helped him find new friends, and old friends from Modesto, when he transferred to UCLA.
David Finkel advised the graduates to go to Europe, to deal with the bad economy. With 50 years of work ahead, one year off won’t hurt. Abner Shao concurred, and said jobs and graduate school will always be there, but not youth.
Dash Nash urged the graduates to network with actives and alumni. His friend, Joe Pease, helped get his resume out of a big stack and get a job in internet.
