Alumni speaker: Marc Goldberg
Brother Goldberg, who works in finance at Parsons Engineering, spoke to the actives on Nov. 19 about planning for careers very early on, and taking advantage of campus and alumni resources and internships. He also has a pilot’s license, which is a great ice-breaker for job interviews.

Donald Bullock (Adytum on High)
Brother Bullock, an alumnus from the 1950s, passed to the Adytum on High in Nov. 2012. He was in ROTC at UCLA and served in the U.S. Army after graduation, and he worked in the technology field. He was a Los Angeles native and had retired to rural Arizona.

Upsilon & ADPi cheer on Bruins
The actives hosted the lovely ladies of Alpha Delta Pi at the Rose Bowl, while watching the Bruins jet out to a 7-2 record and Top 20 rank. Bring on the Trojan scum!

Andrew Fleming (Adytum on High)
Recent alumnus Andrew Fleming passed to the Adytum on High on Nov. 5, 2012, from complications of cancer at his family home in Brawley. The loss of young and beloved brother is particularly difficult, and many recent Upsilon alumni from 2007-2010 considered him a close friend. His cheerful personality and devoted friendship will be missed dearly.
The Celebration of Life services for Andrew Fleming will be next week on Tuesday, November 13 at 11:00am at Fry Chapel (799 Brawley Ave. in Brawley, Calif. 92227).

Paul Dinh reps Sigma Pi in MS Bike Ride
Paul Dinh rode in the MS Bike Ride in San Diego, and several Upsilon brothers contirbuted donations.
He rode through the rain for the good cause, and thanks Upsilon for assisting in his service to God and Man.
The ride was on Oct. 20 in San Diego and a distance of 98 miles!
Upsilon wins awards at 51st Biennial Convocation
Ryan Farjadi of the Active Chapter accepts the Merino-Tash Award for “100-Man House” at the 51st Biennial Convocation in San Antonio in Aug. 2012. Grand Sage Chris Brown and Past Grand Sage John Merino (BO-Long Beach St.) present the award.

Furst kickin’ butt on his bike
Larry Furst rippin’ around the corner on his motorcycle, with Jeff Bara, Taek Chang and Chris Cochran in hot pursuit no doubt.
Sadly, the bike is for sale: It’s a 2009 Yamaha FZ6R, 3,250 miles, excellent condition, original owner. It’s got a few upgrades like sliders, wind guard and tank protector, plus I have a battery tender.
The KBB of $4,655 is based on 7000 miles. It’s a great bike; I’ll miss it!
